The TenShin Budo Kai Dojo, Washington Aiki Association is a registered non-profit organization in the State of Washington. We are a group of volunteer instructors, that have a diverse background in various styles of martial arts, located in the Tacoma, greater Puget Sound area. 

Tired of Dojo politics we, Jim Eggleston (actively teaching), Kent Powell (currently on sabbatical), Heather Ani (actively teaching),  and Frank K. Ani, Jr. (actively teaching) decided it was time to provide the community with a place to train in a no non-sense style of Aikido free from ridiculous dojo politics and excessive monthly fees (if your paying more than $35.00 a month or more in the Tacoma, Washington area for Aikido/Aikijujitsu lessons your paying to much).

The Instructors for the TenShin Budo Kai Dojo have over 40 years of combined training experience in Isshinryu Karate, Goju Ryu Karate, Shotokan Karate, Arnis, Hwa Rang Do, Aikijujitus, Aikido.

Individually we have been fortunate to train under many great martial artist. Steve Armstrong Shihan, Jackson Qui Brocka Shihan, Isoyama Shihan, the late Lonnie Grim Sensei.
